Welcome! Here you will find my art, which is about the impermanence of things. It explores movement through colour and line and looks to the fragility of the natural world. I work in two mediums: acrylics and watercolours. My acrylics tend to be freer, large scale works that make statement pieces, while my watercolours are smaller, more intimate, zooming in on the often missed details, asking the viewer to pause in the moment…
Acrylics
The fast-drying nature of the acrylics medium appeals to me, as it stimulates a conscious need to ‘move’ and reflects the fast pace of today’s contemporary life. My most recent work is suggested by the impermanence of the natural world – florals passing through their blooming stage, the invisible movement inside the human body, the changing spectrum of the sky. It is the ever changing nature of life that interests me, how it begins as a miracle out of nothing, or how it can suddenly stop.

Watercolours
My work in watercolour is about noting details in an atmospheric scenario. Inspired by small scenes of urbanism, street corners, landscapes and seascapes, my watercolour paintings zoom in on the details that might otherwise go unnoticed. My aim is to make the viewer notice their breathing when looking at the painting, and slow down, even if just for a moment, in our busy, hectic lives.
